Early 2006, many auto-surf sites got into problems because of the owners getting their accounts frozen by StormPay.
It was the general opinion, that this was fradulent action by StormPay, and many owners of businesses within the GPT-industry started not accepting StormPay as a result of this.
It does however appear, that Stormpay was only acting voluntarily, as requested by the US Court:
Upon request of the Securities and Exchange Commission, on March 1, 2006, a United States District Court has appointed Thomas F. Lennon as Receiver and 12DailyPRO and LifeClicks have both been placed under his control.
It appears, that not only had Charis Johnson, the owner of 12DailyPRO, stated information on the website, that was far from true, but also moved 1.9 mio US Dollars to her personal bank account by the time, when the court initiated actions against her companies.
